Customizing Output Content

The "Configure an Output -- Content Customization" page allows you to select the fields for an output batch. The page lists the fields for each data level you selected on the  "Configure an Output -- Content" page.  (See the Task Overview for information on the complete output creation process, including output navigation rules.)

For details on each field, including data type and possible values, see Field Definitions.

This page also allows you to edit column headings, file names, XML tags, field lengths, etc. as appropriate to the format options you have selected. For example, if you selected Fixed Length as the file format, you can specify the length for each field. If you selected the record organization option Separate Files (an option for both delimited and fixed-length files), you can edit the file name for each data level.

Tip: If you have selected Record Types or, more importantly, Separate Files as the record organization option, it is always helpful to include the primary key for each data level:

Data Level

Participant Name

(Participant) Connection Total

(Participant) Connection

*In place of Conference Id, you can use MCU Name combined with MCU Conference Id. Also, other combinations of fields may serve as primary keys depending on how values are populated in the MCU. For example, you may choose to populate Conference Name with your own unique key values.
